It's not easy coping with Mental Health. Approximately 6 million people in the UK alone suffer with an anxiety disorder (40 million in the US), and an approximate 3 million people in the UK suffer with depression (16.2 million in the US). It's not easy to allow yourself to be vulnerable and open up to people, but talking to one another and sharing your experiences can not only help yourself, but it can help others too. At some point in their lives, every single person feels alone. You are not.

Handmade Literary Jewellery
So what is Poetic Pieces all about? Very simply, Poetic Pieces is dedicated to making literary based jewellery, turning some of the best quotes of all time into beautiful pendants, earrings and bangles.
Where did it all start? My name is Sam and a few years back, I graduated with a First- class degree in English and Contemporary Media, before completing a Masters in English Literature (that's right, I am officially a Master of Arts!). For a couple of months I dabbled in making jewellery - mainly beaded - but I quickly decided to combine my love for literature with my hobby and in doing so created Poetic Pieces. I take some of my favourite quotes and sometimes illustrations and make them into lovely glass pendants, earrings, bangles etc. I also sometimes use actual page fragments from books which means that no piece of jewellery can ever be the same as I can only use that particular fragment once, creating a unique gift. I also make a lot of custom pieces for people, involving the customer every step of the way to ensure that the end result is perfect. I often research the book or the quote to get a feel for what type of style the piece should have, I then make various designs which I send you and you choose the design you most prefer. I then take the payment, go ahead and make the piece and send it to you in the mail- it's as easy as that!
